Winter Blooms

Look what greeted me in my garden one morning this week after a rain.
This beautiful rose likes to bloom here in southern California in the winter after a rain.

I love the color of peppermint candy.

This rose wasn't to be out done. It bloomed the same day.

The same rose two days later.

It is so dry here, this is what we usually see in southern California gardens in the winter.

These do very well all year long. Outside.

And inside.

How wonderful to see flowers in winter. Thank you for providing relief from the Colorado chill.

It is refreshing to see just moist and tender roses in this season. Oh Suz, your roses are a prize! Happy day to you!Anita

Oh, my, Susan. Such beautiful roses! I think that pink colour is the best pink I've seen. I'm aching for the sunshine! Thanks for the bright spot :)

I love the comparison with the rose and the peppermint candy. I recently saw the Masterchef Boston where they cooked following an artist's painting. These kinds of links are fun and take it to the next level.
