Bits And Pieces

I've been under the weather the last few weeks and will attempt
to catch up on a few things.

Grandpa (Mr. COS) said good-bye to Disneyland in September after working
there for seven years and loving it (weekends only).

I paid my last (free) visit to Disneyland in September on Grandpa's last day.

The band played on Main Street while I was there. A treat for me.

I visited a Halloween Harvest area for the kids.

This is a stage for magic in the Harvest area.

This is one of my favorite sights on Main Street.

The Fire House Band on Main Street. So much fun to watch.

Good-bye Mr. Conductor. I will miss seeing you in uniform.

Dearest Suz,

It is so comforting to see that Disneyland's Main st. looks pretty much the same as when my little feet walked its streets so long ago. I have the fondest memories of my dad treating us to a visit to Disneyland. Whenever we'd get in the car on Sunday, he usually wouldn't tell us where he was taking us. But when he'd drive east from our South Central L.A. home through downtown, then cross over Whittier and head toward Anaheim, I knew. I knew we were either headed for Knott's Berry Farm, or for me, the ULTIMATE....Disneyland. How I loved the end of the evening when so tired, we'd take the tram to our car......

WOW. You sent me on a trip back 50 years. Thank you. And I hope YOU are better, and able to carry on, knowing that you are loved. Anita

What a fun post, Susan. It's been so long since I've been to Disneyland and you brought me back to so many wonderful childhood memories!
I hope you feel better very soon!
