Decorating For Easter

Pottery Barn-in store

I have put together some things to help and inspire you  for Easter decorating.
I have previously not focused on Easter but the devastating winter in most of
our country has led me to do so.  These are some things to look forward to and
 brighten our days  ahead.
Happy Spring!

Vintage Finds

This is the first of two signs I bought from Rita's booth
at the Vintage Marketplace in Rainbow, California
over the last weekend.

This is a photo of my laundry room with another sign from Rita. It says 'Chocolate and
Wine' in Italian.

If this little pillow in front looks familiar, it is. It is from the shabby chic line at Target.
I bought this pillow at the Vintage Marketplace and it is perfectly aged and was a
steal.

Here is the same pillow on my master bed.

These charming faith based earrings I bought from the Grace Abounding booth
at the Marketplace. This and other beautiful handmade jewelry can be bought at
the etsy shop  www.graceabounding.etsy.com. I bought these for a gift for
Mother's Day for my mother-in-law who loves ear wires and dangles
and wears all the jewelry I buy her.

My daughter bought this cuff from the same booth that I purchased
my earrings. I borrowed Janis' photo of it.

My laundry room where I hung
my signs. I am such a fan of
the blog White and Shabby. You
can click on it and visit to see where
I get almost all my inspiration. I have
to mention another blog of inspiration

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY

Vintage Market Place March 2014

Birdhouse with doorbell ringer
I visited the Vintage Market Place in Rainbow, California this past
weekend and I took some photos to share with you. Rainbow is
across the freeway from Fallbrook. It is a very rural area.
The Market Place is held 4 times a year, March, June,
September and December, if you want to plan a trip to
visit this beautiful vintage market.

Lots of chandeliers.

This time that I visited, I noticed more vintage furniture then in the past.

In front of Rita's charming booth.

Lots of handmade jewelry.

Christie Repasy's beautiful artistry.

Lots of vintage luggage.

I really liked this little chest. I wish I had a place for it.

Pillows representing the spring theme.

I am not sure this was for sale but I couldn't resist taking a picture of it.
This was outside Christie's beautiful booth.

This year I was more of a buyer than an observer. I was, again, with
my daughter. We bought some jewelry. I bought another pillow
and some signs from Rita. I will post them in the future.

Last time we were here, my daughter bought some things for
her Paris themed dinner party that I posted about last week.
This time we were looking for things for Mother's Day.

Annual Love Fest 2014

We had our Annual Love Fest this week. It was Paris themed and hosted by my
daughter and her husband. Our schedules didn't permit it to be on Valentine's day
this year. Notice the place card holders and the napkin rings.

Every wine charm Paris themed but different

Party favor gift bags. Check out how the tissue paper in the gift bags matches
the table cloth.

The menu from hors d'oeuvres to entrees was fondues.

For the fondue dipping sauces

These were for pomegranate martinis. Do you see the Eiffel Tower on the tray.

Hors d'oeuvres.

Heart shaped dessert

My daughter dressing for the theme.

Theme lighting for the mantle.

Sources for the Paris themed party included Hobby Lobby, TJ Maxx, Pier 1,
Home Goods, Marshals, The Rainbow Vintage Flea Market,
Micheals, and the internet.

This was what was in the men's and women's gift bags. The silver tower on the
end is a bottle opener, and a box of  matches next to it.
