Shabby Chic Visit 2014

I visited Rachel Ashwell's Shabby Chic Couture Boutique in Santa Monica.
These are some photos I took of her shop while I was there a week ago.
These are beautiful wall scones hanging in the window of her shop.

This is one of the prettiest bedroom interior display photos I've taken.

I really liked this little chest of drawers.

One beautiful display after another.

One beautiful chandelier after another.  Mr. Cos taking it all in.

It was a pleasure to visit her lovely shop
and chat with the friendly people she has
working there.

I always get a thrill just walking through the door. Your shots are wonderful! I love all the linens, fabrics and upholstery. Cushy heaven!

I'm actually amazed that it has lasted it, it was such a fad for a while, but she's steered through that period where she was everywhere and managed to maintain her business.

My dear, dear Susan!

Before I go on about this fantastic visit here, I too have not been receiving my usual email notifications to let me know about your new posts! ANd you too say that you did not know I posted? Blogger is definitely having some glitches!

OK, now down to business....

You know, I was in SANTA MONICA over the Christmas holidays and enjoyed my wonderful family. I had my husband take me to the pier, and we walked around many of the shops, one being, BABY AND CHILD....dear Susan, you MUST go in there. They are on the first street parallel to PCH, off of Colorado.

I did not get a chance to visit Rachel's shop, but these photos are making me itch to paint my dresser upstairs. My bedroom is ripe for some tweaking and all it will take will be some chalk paint, and I'm in!

You mentioned my table chandelier!YES! I HAVE THREE OF THEM! My favorite one sits in my great room, and I need to show you. Do I have your email? I must show it to you. I got all three of them at a local vintage shop, and they are all at least from the late 40s to early 50s.

SPARKLE ON MY FRIEND! I think I'll have to switch putting your blog onto my blog roll, but sometimes that doesn't even work! Anita

What a lovely shop. I'll be in trouble if I visit, there's so many items I'd like to covet. You picked great pieces to photograph.

What a lovely shop. I especially would love to curl up in that beautiful bed and all those gorgeous linens. It looks so inviting. How lucky you are to be able to visit there - it looks like a dream.
