Milo And Parker

If you are a grandparent chances are you may have a grand-pet. I have two. This is Parker.
He is 4 years old and he has just gotten a new baby brother. Parker is a mix.

This is Milo. He is 9 weeks old in these photos. He is Parker's new
little brother. Milo is pure Labrador.

Here, they are getting to know each other.

Milo with his favorite squeaky toy, Lampchop.

Milo may be the rising star in the family but Parker is a star in his own right. He just
finished playing the lead of Sandy in a local production of "Annie".

Welcome to adorable Milo!
These were difficult photos to take of Milo, especially the first head shot, because as
a puppy he is constantly moving. In just a few months, Milo is going to tower over
Parker and Parker is enjoying these moments of play with little Milo.

Favorites Around My Home And Garden

Walking from my kitchen into my laundry room. I like the contrast of color(It's acutally
the lighting that is causing the contrast of color-the wall is white not yellow).
'Let It Be',  my thoughts on what I am doing in the kitchen and
at the same time honoring the Beatles (for Mr. Cos-his all-time
favorite band). Poster from One King's Lane. Itsy bitsy chandelier
from Lamps Plus.

My 'Sentimental' rose looking very shabby chic to me. These are some of my favorite
shots that I took from 2013 from around my home and garden. I miss my roses.
They are not blooming yet. All photos here of my roses are from 2013.

My new edition (the dreamcatcher) in my shabby chic guest bedroom last year
 from Heaven's Walk.

My coral rose and all it's glory with a little rain drop lingering on it's bloom.

My shabby chic bed is a comfort to me. Sham from Rachel Ashwell's Shabby Chic Couture
and lamp from Pottery Barn. Comforter from Simply Shabby Chic at Target(in store), Frame
from Arron Brothers and curtain from NM catalog. Table from a now defunct boutique. On
the wall, custom made frames for me by a friend with found on-line prints.

My pink rose with a baby rose bud. This is rose beauty
that brings tears to my eyes. I am crazy about roses.
Roses and chandeliers...sounds like a blog name. Hmm....

I love orchids in a bath, shabby or not. Lined basket from Hobby Lobby.
Custom made Boudoir sign.

I am not compensated any way, nor do I have sponsors or ads
on my blog.

More Shabby Chic 2014

More photos from my recent visit to Rachel Ashwell's Shabby Chic Couture Boutique.

Beautiful pendant lamps. Do you see the reflection of the original artwork
in the vintage mirror?

This is the first time I had seen so many different colors and patterns on reupholstered
vintage furniture in her shop.

I liked the details on this vintage chair.

Original artwork.

This sweet little table has my name on it ...somewhere..

Small rug I bought at Rachel's boutique(this visit) for my master bath.
Mr. Cos found this rug in Rachel's shop.(Basket from Target, pillow from
the Vintage Marketplace a few weeks ago.)
Mr. COS wondered why I put the pillow in the waste basket for this shot..
Hmmmm.... I wonder why I did that.

Last stunning view from inside her shop.
When Rachel Ashwell closed her Newport Beach and Malibu shops
and focused entirely on her Santa Monica shop (in California) her
shop went from randomly displayed to exquisitely displayed.

Shabby Chic Visit 2014

I visited Rachel Ashwell's Shabby Chic Couture Boutique in Santa Monica.
These are some photos I took of her shop while I was there a week ago.
These are beautiful wall scones hanging in the window of her shop.

This is one of the prettiest bedroom interior display photos I've taken.

I really liked this little chest of drawers.

One beautiful display after another.

One beautiful chandelier after another.  Mr. Cos taking it all in.

It was a pleasure to visit her lovely shop
and chat with the friendly people she has
working there.

Santa Monica/Malibu 2014

This photo of the Pacific was taken from inside Duke's Restaurant in Malibu, California.
These were all taken this week. It is winter here in Southern California and you
would never know it from these photos.

Inside Duke's Restaurant in Malibu, California.

Inside the Shabby Chic Boutique in Santa Monica, California

I keep trying to get a good shot of the beach from Adelaide Drive in Santa Monica
but it is so overgrown it is hard to do.

I love this little Santa Monica House.
