Holiday Lighting

Over Christmas we visited some beautiful homes in Southern California and this is one.
I loved the double chandeliers hanging in the kitchen.

Here you can see this chandelier hanging in the dining room
reflected in the mirror along with the chandeliers in the
kitchen.

I wanted to share with you this lovely mantle with a gas fireplace.

Here is a closer look at the carpet. I fell in love with this carpet.
I wish you a happy new year.

Palm Desert at Christmas Time 2014

Last week we spent 8 days in Palm Desert on vacation at the Marriott Desert Springs
resort. This is the view from our villa of the golf course. Our stay was a gift from my
daughter and her husband. I am still recovering from my surgery. I haven't
gotten back my strength and energy.

This is Mr. Cos removing the pin for my shots. The weather was beautiful and when
a storm came through Southern California that week it barely touched ground where
we were staying but left beautiful snow-covered mountains.

The pool at the Jasmine Court area where our villa was.

The fire pit and behind it the putting green.

I really liked this.

The staff entrance

In downtown Pam Springs I got the shot of this little
vehicle. It's for the officer that gives parking tickets and
look he's parked in the red.

On the way home, these are the wind mills with the recently
snow-covered mountains in the background.

I loved staying here. They had a
magnificent staff. The resort was beautiful.
Have a Merry Christmas!

Christmas Tablescape 2014

This is how my daughter's dining room and table are
decorated for this Christmas season. This little tree is
on the sideboard. The mini tree skirt is from Target.

Are you noticing the napkin rings and how wonderfully
they match the holly and berry theme?

I love this container for cranberry infused water.

This is from her Christmas mantle in her family room that
opens up from the dining room.
Happy Holidays!

Fall And Winter Dressing 2014

Something spectacular for cool fall and winter nights from
Neiman Marcus from Belle Fare-cashmere and fox for $1395.

This is something more casual but still elegant in style
and less pricey at $795.00 on the Neiman Marcus site.
Cable-knit cashmere with fox trim. Love the boots.

Let's add some color with this leopard print
silk blouse by Caroline Rose at Neiman Marcus
for $255.00. I can't not post a fashion blog without
some animal print.

I have been seeing a lot of boxy outerwear for fall and winter and then
I found this by T Tahari at NM for $295.00.

Mr. Cos and I went to the Grove (a shopping mall) in Hollywood last week.
I'm modeling a Rag and Bone crossbody clutch I found at Barney's for $595.00.
I'm wearing a Johnny Was top.

Ugg slippers at the Ugg store for $120.00.

Inside the Johnny Was store.

We ate at The Fat Dog on Fairfax in Hollywood.

These are my grandchildren Sarah and Daniel who joined Mr. Cos
and myself for a day of shopping at the Grove in Hollywood.

the freeway.

Roses in November

This is my 'Christmas' rose. Red and white stripe like peppermint candy.
It's called 'Sentimental'. While not blooming much this summer, the
plant is now in full bloom in November.

My pink rose is having a blooming month.

But not a bloom in October.

Looking very shabby chic.

I purposely planted this rose in my garden so I would have the Christmas spirit
in my garden.

Bits And Pieces

I've been under the weather the last few weeks and will attempt
to catch up on a few things.

Grandpa (Mr. COS) said good-bye to Disneyland in September after working
there for seven years and loving it (weekends only).

I paid my last (free) visit to Disneyland in September on Grandpa's last day.

The band played on Main Street while I was there. A treat for me.

I visited a Halloween Harvest area for the kids.

This is a stage for magic in the Harvest area.

This is one of my favorite sights on Main Street.

The Fire House Band on Main Street. So much fun to watch.

Good-bye Mr. Conductor. I will miss seeing you in uniform.

Forgiving

I think we all realize that forgiving is important for our well-being but
but some of us wake up one day in our lives like I did this week and
realize that forgiving is everything. Without out forgiving there is no
grace. I wanted to say this and dedicate a post to it because if you are
on the fence about forgiving, get off of it and forgive and ask for
forgiveness for yourself. Grace follows.
