Pumpkin Carving 101

I had foot surgery this week so I was not cruisin' around. Mr. COS gave me a
pumpkin carving lesson.

He drew his design on the pumpkin with a pencil.

He cut out the design on the pumpkin with a sharp paring knife.

Viola! We call it 'Scaredy' face.

Here it is all lit up with a candle inside.

This is 'Love Sick' from 2011.

This is Happy Face' from 2012.

I jazzed it up a bit.
'Scaredy' face looks like it's singing in the Halloween choir.

Hey, I hope you're on the mend! At least you have some cheap entertainment! Haha! I love that you have your pumpkin faces from times past. This year's version is pretty cute. Maybe he's just saying boooo! (You're right on about the cost of quilts. The green one is one of two that I spent money on. I think I'm done. I only buy at giveaway prices now.) Take care of you!

I hope you're feeling better, Susan. Hubby did a great job on the pumpkin. I hope he's good at cooking and cleaning too! lol. Take good care.

I have NEVER carved a pumpkin, EVER! Good job Susan!

Thank you dear for coming to visit. Good to hear you got a little rain and relieve from that hot California heat! I so remember even Christmases being up in the 90s...way back in the 1960s! Have a super weekend. Anita
