Birthday Week

It is 100 degrees today and it was yesterday and the day before. It is not however 100 degrees
at the beach in this photo. This is the drive down Pacific Coast Highway near
Huntington Beach, California. There are a lot of ups and downs to living in
Southern California. One of the downs is the heat if you live inland and if you
live at the beach the other negative is in this photo. Who in there right mind
would ruin a beautiful view like this with an oil rig?  It is going to be my
birthday this week and normally I would just pass it by, but this year is a
biggie. Lots of ups and downs about this birthday. While I enjoy what is
left of my younger year, I am going to share a personal favorite or two of my
photos. Saying Good-bye to summer.

Huntington Beach Pier

Summer pastime on a Southern California beach.

Cool morning mist in Huntington Beach, California.

I took this photo at Neiman Marcus in Fashion Island, Newport Beach, California
I leave you with this gorgeous (probably Lalique) crystal vase.
The ultimate (luxury) table decoration for summer. This is not
on my wish list because if I bought this it would cost
so much I would have to insure it. But it is beautiful
to look at and as I said, summer eye-candy.

Fall Vintage

I did some vintage antique shopping this past week in the
Chapman Antique Mall at the Circle in Orange, California.
I found  many things that I liked.

I particularly liked the brown jug in this shot.

Some Halloween things were already on display.

I found at least one chandelier. And this is what the rest of the day was like......

Driving home from the antique mart on a clear summer day. No smog on this day.

Mr. COS had just watered my roses and I captured these shots of blooms
on my 'Leonidas' rose plant. Perfect rose to represent fall.

I didn't enhance the roses in these photos. I never do.
I want you to see them vibrant and colorful as I see them.
The perfect rose for someone who loves orange as much as I do.

Vintage Bedroom And Bath

I love a vintage bedroom. This is from my

Guest bedroom with vintage table and quilts.

Close up of pattern on the quilts.

Fern prints hung in a
vintage frame.

Shabby chic pillow from Target.

Orchids do so much to perk up a bathroom and they love the
bathroom sunlight and humidity. Soy candles burn clean and
last longer.

Boudoir sign by Rita of Mammabellarte and Christie of Chateau de Fleurs.

Disneyland Shopping

I paid a summer visit to Disneyland this week with my daughter (and today's model).
This was my first visit to Disneyland this summer. This is a Mickey Mouse
chocolate covered sugar cookie for $3.95 that my daughter bought at the
bakery down at the Castle end of Main Street. She ate the whole thing.

This is a great summer tee. "A bad day surfing is better than a good day working".

This is one of the scarves for sale. They were two for $35.00.

They had this tote for sale. Perfect for the fall trend  'red is the new neutral'.
Sorry I didn't catch the price of this.

Disney flip flop bling.

All these bangles are sold together and were $47.

These sweat pants were just ordinary
until you looked at the hem...

This is what's printed on the hem of the sweat pants.

Animal print scarf for $21.95.

Dooney and Bourke leather Disney tote. $325. You can probably get
some of these things I've posted at the Disney Store.

Dooney and Bourke leather Disney wristlet. $95.

This is the Dooney and Bourke Disney leather crossbody that I
showed you in my spring visit to Disneyland. $210.

I can't leave you without giving you a final shot of one of the chandeliers that
is hanging in a shop on Main Street.

This is not a sponsored post.

Chandelier Shopping

Charming chandelier in Anthropologie at Fashion Island in Newport Beach,
California. I'm always looking for the different, unusual and beautiful
chandelier. I hope I don't disappoint you with these photos.

This chandelier I found at McKee and Company in the Corona Del Mar Plaza
off of Avocado in Corona Del Mar, California. It is made of clam shells.

I liked this one for the amazing patterns it made on the wall when lit.
Can you imagine this in your home with all the lights turned off but
this one? At McKee and Company.

Beautiful jeweled chandelier at Mckee and Company.

Inside Anthropologie

French wine bottle. Anthropologie.

Colorful glassware. Anthropologie.

Vintage bathtub. Anthropologie.
