Today I am in my garden with this exquisite 'Leonidas' rose.
Its colors represent summer to me.
Here it is two days later sun burnt with a deeper rich color.
Photo taken at the same time of day as the others
with the same camera settings.
I saw this on a tee-shirt at Target.
My father used to say 'no excuses'. This
seems like a kinder way to say it. Summer is
a great time to relax, sit back and revisit goals.
I'll be linking with My Romantic Home.

GOOD MORNING SUSAN! Your oranges are so stunning. I was just in California two weeks ago and got home last week; it really was nice to see the types of flowers and trees that I grew up around, but actually forgot about having lived now for 29 years in both Boston and now Minneapolis. Your colors out there are vibrant.
Happy day! Anita
Your roses are on fire! Funny that they have a Greek name!
Wow, absolutely stunning! Thanks for sharing their beauty with us.
Hugs!
Such a beautiful fiery rose! We've been too hot here for any more til fall.
The rose is stunning! So glad you stopped by and left such a sweet comment. We'd love to have you link.

Thank you my dear Susan, for visiting! Oh how I wish I had been able to swing on over to Santa Monica or some of the other places you celebrate on your blog...I was just in California two weeks ago, but limited my stay for some very important and WONDERFUL family time. I hope to go out again during Christmas and maybe I'll just wander over by the coast. Thank you for coming by with kind words! Anita
Wow, those oranges are fabulous! Roses are simply the best! Thanks for the visual treats, Susan.
I've always wanted to have orange roses in my garden. Today I will imagine that these beauties are blooming in my back yard! Thank you for the inspiration.
Breathtaking captures!!!
Gorgeous! Reminds me of summer too, and of sunsets.
Hope you have something delicious to eat, dear Susan ;)?! I have baked a wonderful berry-cake this evening......you can have a pice of it ;). Have a wonderful weekend,
Hugs Jade
Your roses are sooo beautiful!!!
Thank you for your lovely comment. I wanted to reply to it.
I'm glad you liked my Etsy. LOL. Since you are into fashion, I was wondering if you were looking at the short shorts. Those were the days. I remember them well. And of course being from New Orleans...good times. I wore most of those shorts. Except the red plaid, probably all...lOL
Thank you for the visit anyway.

Beautiful orange roses says Summer like nothing else. I think your father sounds right though.
