My Disneyland Spring Break

Disneyland is literally a few minutes from my home.
I visited this past week. I took these photos  in the morning
and it was overcast as you will see. I got there early enough
to see the Main Street vehicles. They only run in the morning
and early afternoon. This photo was taken on Main Street.

How could I resist taking a few photos of the beautiful chandeliers that are in the
shops along Main Street?

This chandelier is pink and white and I thought very girly, girly shabby chic.
It is in the candy store. Disneyland has made some changes on Main Street since
I was last there. One of them is the location of the candy store.

This beautiful Dooney and Bourke Handbag is in a gift shop on
Main Street. Do you see the little Mickeys on it?
You can buy this at Disneystore.com.

This is a photo of the Matterhorn ride taken from the Corner Cafe that
now has the bakery in it. You can see here how overcast it was.

Is it my imagination or do these little flowers look like little Mickey heads?
These pots are hanging all down Main Street.

When I have visited Disneyland I have rarely seen the Main Street vehicles and
I couldn't resist this photo.

This flower bed looks heart-shaped to me and very shabby chic with it's
pink and white flowers.

These are the feet of my companions (my grandchildren) as we stood in line
for a bite to eat.

This is part of the Disneyland charm. This photo is dedicated to all
my family and friends that I have accompanied to Disneyland .

Mickey Mouse topiary that stands in front of the pool area of
the Disneyland Hotel.

Cute hooded bathing suit cover-up for the pool.

SUSAN! You have transported me back to my childhood playground. And my cousins used to live not far from Disneyland; they even attended Walt Disney elementary school!

LOVE all the chandies and all of your posts. LOVE! Anita

How fun for you! Your chandy shots are great. Love the trolley. I think it's fun to just hang around in the shops! nice that it's so convenient for you. I'm sure your family loves it!

If my kids knew I had a bloggy friend who live around the corner from Disneyland, they would want to move in with you. I have been to your one and loved it. I had waited all my life to go and saved up and went as a 22 year old. It was still great fun but a long time ago now. Thanks for reminding of that lovely visit.

Oh Susan, I really appreciate you leaving a comment. I struggle with sharing poetry on my blog since so many readers are actually more interested in PHOTOS! But I thank you kindly. I am a STUDENT of poetry and by no means am going to continue to put it up. Many thanks! And that photo of me? That was taken at Disneyland WAAAY back in the day! Anita

Oh what a wonderful place. When we lived in California I wanted us to make sure and visit Disneyland before we moved back.Didn't happen so I guess we will have to settle for Disneyworld which is about eight hours away. Wow I have an even better idea we could just go back to California so we could visit the original!! The chandeliers are just gorgeous.

Beautiful chandeliers.
You're lucky to have this Disney World just few minutes away from your home.
I have never been to Disneyland, but now I think it's time to visit there with my little 1yr old son.
I wish I could get a ride on the main street vehicle.

Looks like a fabulous spring break. You could find a chandelier anywhere, I think. I love the photos of these beauties!

These are the little gold bits that make life what it is. Usually sweet and worth living.

I love seeing the other sides of Disneyland from the locals. If I lived that close I'd get one of those year passes and just head over whenever I wanted to just stroll a bit. I'm headed to your neck of the woods for a wedding and 90th birthday celebration next weekend. Hope the weather behaves at least for the wedding as they are having an outdoor reception. Do all your grandkids fight over visiting you?

Disneyland never disappoints. It's neat that you've gotten some photos of things that don't always get appreciated: the chandeliers, the vehicles.

I'm so happy that you've joined the premier of "Oh, the PLACES I've been!" and hope that you will become a regular contributor.

How I love Disneyland! I have also been to Disneyworld. If I lived closer, I may be inclined to walk around the park each day for exercise ;o) Love your chandelier photos!
