Driving Down PCH In HuntingtonBeach, California

While my daughter  drove to pick up my grandson from school I took these photos
 of the coastline. I haven't posted something like this in awhile.
                                             I thought you might like it.

                                 It isn't officially summer, yet or for that matter warm enough
                                 for the beach crowds. The waves are in focus and the flowers
                                 aren't because I took all of these photos while my daughter
                                 was driving.
                               

                                       The drive we took was from Long Beach, California down
                                        Pacific Coast Highway to Huntington Beach, Californa.

                                  We had to turn off  shortly after this photo was taken so
                                   I didn't get a closer photo of the pier.

                                 This photo is an example of why people want to outlaw off-shore
                                  oil drilling. This would have been a beautiful photo if the oil rig
                                  hadn't been smack dab in the middle of the picture.
                               

                                   These are homes on the sand in a private gated community
                                   in Sunset Beach. I think Sandra Bullock and her Ex
                                   had a home here.

                              This unique home is on the street off the sand near Sunset Beach
                              and can be rented for the summer. I think it used to be a water
                              tower.

                             I don't know if this is a home or business but you can see it
                             from the highway and whoever owns it made it look charming
                             with the painted windows.

                          After we picked up my grandson and his friend, I mentioned I
                          might put these photos on my blog, and someone in the car
                          mentioned did I take any flower photos, so my daughter stopped 
                          for me and I took these on Golden West Highway on the way
                          home. Thanks to Jenny, Daniel and Asher for a great ride.

Fullerton Arboretum

            This is one of the magnificent blooms on hundreds of plants and flowers at the Fullerton
            Arboretum in Fullerton, California. This bloom is so perfectly shabby chic and I found
            others in the rose garden that called out shabby chic to me this week.

                                             

                                  Talk about ruffles and shabby chic. This blew me away.

                      If you like purple and burgundy, there was plenty of those colors, too.

And this beautiful orange rose.

There were lots of other beautiful plants there besides roses.

And some beautiful peaceful sights as well. Perfect for a picnic.

Look at the shabby little wrinkles.

These look like mini dragons to me. This is called Golden

 Columbine.

                                            This is a surprise as you enter The Arboretum.

There are many critters for the kiddies to observe.

Lush grounds. The Arboretum is 26 acres.

One of my favorite colors.

The Fullerton Arboretum is admission free and open from 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. daily.

It is located at 1900 Associated Road in Fullerton, California.

Stars Of The Garden

The roses pictured here are from my first two rose plants. They are the first this spring to
break out in full bloom. I don't know their official names. I call them my coral and pink roses.

       This rose is now in a little vase sitting in my bathroom on my new tray from Tina.

     I love the way the petals look like ruffles on a gown in this rose.

        I took these last two photos in the very late afternoon and the background turned  black
        making the rose pop. I didn't plan it this way but I love the look.

A Treasure From Tina

I ordered this beautiful silver crest tray from Tina at her store on her blog
 The Enchanted Home.
I cut one of my pink roses just for this photo so you could see the sweet size
and how perfect it is for the boudoir.

Here it is with a small crystal vase.

this past winter.

And finally, this is how I use it everyday in my

master bath on my counter top. It holds the

products I use that I don't leave home without.
