Shabby Chic Touch-Up

I bought this pillow this week from the Shabby Chic line at Target.
The sham behind it is from one of Rachel Ashwell's boutiques.

Here is a better close-up of the sham. The lamp is from Pottery Barn.
The quilt and matching sham are from an outdated on-line source.

That's my pink rose from my garden.

The balloon shade I bought this week from the Shabby Chic line at Target.
The vintage print I found at Country Roads Antiques in Orange,

I saw your beautiful new pillow when I was cruising by the RA aisle at Target. (Which I always do when I'm there.) Love it! I'm such a sucker for pretty linens. Your bed looks luscious!

I love the idea of having a single rose sitting by your bed. I might just borrow that idea and wake up to instant beauty every day.

Love your pretty finds. Sorry I haven't been around for a while. Just noticed you have a Paris story below which I am about to read.

As for and answer to your question
My conversion book says 400g is 14oz. So about 2 cups I'd say. As you can see from the shot, I've covered the bottom of a large pie dish with fruit. I would have used about 2.5 cups this time, but next time I will use 2 cups I think. With this dish the fruit quantity is negotiable, the batter quantities are more important, for in baking, they should be as exact as possible.
Hope this helps.

FANTASTIC. I love Rachel Ashwell's approach and you got it down! Funny with those balloon curtains,I tried it but it did not go well!!! I need some Roman shades in my dining room!

Thank you Susan for coming over! Anita

Hi, everything looks amazing, so sweet!!! Love the style. I also bought the ballon shade at Target, but have no idea in how to place it. There is no instruccions or anything, it's just the plain fabric. Do I need more material so it actually looks like ballon shape? How did you do it?
