In My Living Room

I'm pulled in two different directions. I have two bedrooms and a bath that are shabbied
pink and white and a living and dining room that have an eclectic mix I call asian-pacific
These are new from Home Goods $3.99 each.

My living room is a mish mash of light woods and asian
pacific design with these Lane tables that I can't bare
to part with. In an instant, I could pull this room together
if I just replaced the two tables.

Jar and console table from a local interior
design boutique. The rice screeen is from
a now defunct import-export shop.

This mirror is from a catalog.

Animal print lamp I found on-line. Vase is from
a yard sale. Looks like I only paid a dollar
for it.

This vintage poster I found at a local antique store.
What do you think? Are there moments in your
life where you just can't make up your mind?

I'm linking with The House in the Roses

Many moments like that. I have a shed full of stuff I can't bring myself to part with. I always say if you love it it will work. If you don't make it over. White paint and mixed cushions have made a world of difference to my decorating.

Have a great week

Hello Susan,
I love your vintage poster, what a great unique find. Oh, yea. I do find myself unable to make up my mind at times. Often, I say to myself it is perfect, don’t over think the situation. Thanks for sharing your beautiful living room. Have a wonderful day.
Smiles, Paula

Your living room is welcoming as it is!

I might suggest you find a print fabric you love that has greens, browns and copper (or more colors!) in a beautiful pattern and make additional pillows for your couches to break up the greens and add the other colors in your room. There are wonderful William Morris designs still in production and a world of other patterns to delight you. If you don't sew, there are a world of ready made throw pillows to choose from, too. Have fun!

I like your style! Your living room looks great! Love the green. I like too many different styles to pick just one, and I have a hard time getting rid of things I'm attached to too.

I haven't had the time to get around and leave comments yet this week but I had to pop on over and tell you how happy you made me! To hear that you love the faded rose notecards so much that you are going to keep them for yourself just made my heart smile. Thank you for letting me know. I love your leopard print glasses!!! Even in the midst of my coastal nordic white decor I have touches of leopard print. I've always liked animal prints and it goes with my love of Out of Africa. I wear alot of leopard print too. Your living room decor is similar to my son's room. I wouldn't get rid of your coffee table either. If you ever decide to change your style you can always paint it or sand it down to the barebones french nordic look. It's a wonderful piece of furniture.
