I don't bake in the spring and summer. It's too hot here. I give it a try in the fall and winter. One of
my favorite things to bake is chocolate chip cookies. I baked these this week.
I use the recipe right off the package and I tried these new
dark chocolate chips from Nestles.
I have a secret ingredient of my own. I put in a little instant espresso coffee. I think it gives the
cookies a richer taste. I bought the mini ice cream scoop new last week at my supermarket.
It was $12.00. I tried to find one cheaper on-line. It wasn't there. The tin I found at Walmart
for $1.00. I just added one teaspoon of the instant espresso coffee as I thought the dark
chocolate morsels would add to the richness of the cookie, too.
I add just a few chopped walnuts. It's my personal taste.
I got four dozen cookies plus 5 with the mini scoop. In this photo there are a few missing as
I sampled them.
Are you planning to bake this fall and if so what are your favoites?

Now you made me crave choc. chip cookies!!! :-) I'm so into sweets during this pregnancy! I'm eating dark choc. peanuts mms now! :-) Like a kid!!!
I'm sorry I understood you were at that house. It's great you know the area though. And yes, I can't believe there's only 8 weeks left to give birth. It seems this pregnancy flew by! I'm a bit anxious right now and I can't stop doing things around the house.
I need to stop nesting and start relaxing! :-)
Have a great day!

Mmmm, I wish I was at your place! The espresso sounds like a delicious idea. I'm going to try a cookie recipe soon that has toffee and chocolate covered coffee beans!
Yummy!! These cookies have me craving a cookie out of the oven and a big glass of cold milk! So interesting about your "secret" ingredient, I will have to try this. I bet it makes them amazing....problem is that I have ZERO self control around these sweets, but I give myself a free pass every now and then to indulge!
I love baking in fall!! These look really good :)

Oh my! This post just made me very hungry. Chocolate chip cookies are my absolute weakness. If food didn't make me fat I'd eat chocolate chip cookies for every meal!
